The customized Content Management System provided was built specifically to handle vertical markets in the site. The vertical markets are like smaller sites embedded in the same site.
Create Vertical Market
New vertical markets can be easily added by relating a template and a menu to it. Existing markets can be modified easily by again by simply uploading a different template. The content will adapt to the template changes by itself.
Parent/Child Page feature
In many cases, different pages in different vertical markets share the same content, but vary in templates. To overcome the problem of having to create the content all over again, while creating a page the user has the ability to copy over the content from an existing page. To modify the content, the user has to make changes in the parent page only, and all child pages will be updated automatically.
Page filtering
At the admin, hundreds of pages are generated which belong the several vertical markets. To make it easier to find a page, a feature has been provided to filter the pages by vertical market.
Form Builder
A form builder was created that helped the admin create and modify forms easily. This feature was implemented using Ajax programming which has in turn increased the application speed tremendously. This feature manages form creation, modification and e-mail notifications for multiple forms being used on the site.
Region Specific notifications/ Localized e-mail notifications
When a user filled a form he is sent documents by the company as a part of follow up. In many cases these follow up documents vary by region of the person who fills the form.
To help solve this problem, a feature is added in the form builder using which the CMS users can assign specific documents to certain regions. If the user from that particular region fills the form, an email notification is sent with the document assigned to that location.
