Online Employee Training & Workshop Management Software System
The client is one of the leading international chains of hotels with 130 hotels and restaurants located in 56 countries across the globe. Established 18 years ago, it provides quality service to high end customers.
The client wanted to incorporate a web based application in the already functioning website. The hotel group organizes several workshops for its employees all over the globe. The client wanted to develop a custom web based employee training and workshop management system that allows course attendees to sign up to courses and allows course administrators to add new courses for different regions and upload course material associated with those courses.
The Custom web application is developed for the employee workshop and training management. It helps employees register for the periodic workshops. It also it helps the workshop organizers to co-ordinate workshop activities like enrolment, feedback etc.
When an employee logs in using his user name and password, he selects a region, the hotel he works in and then selects a workshop from the available dates. There will be a number of dates available for each workshop at each hotel. Only 14 people are allowed on to each course after which the course date should no longer appears as an option for the user to select from. The employee can take put a printout of the details from the web page.
At this point they the employee adds his personal details and his place on the course is confirmed. The user is then presented with a list of 'pre-course' documents to download (PDFs, Word docs etc) and read. At the same time an email is sent which contains a link back to the site page having a small questionnaire.
At this point an email is sent to the course administrator confirming the booking and also to the person who has just signed up with information about workshop time, which room the workshop is happening in etc. If e-mail address is not included then the administrator is prompted to contact them by phone.
The administrator can add a new region, add a course to the region and upload 'pre-course' documents associated with the project. He can also fill in details like Room numbers, language course to be held in, accommodation available etc. He has the ability to remove users from one workshop and move them to another.
The statistics, reports enable the admin to view how many people signed up to each workshop, available places left on each workshop, number of workshops completed by region etc. Administrator to send workshop updates to all the people attending a specific workshop.
After the completion of the course the employee can give his feedback on a form located on the web site. The administrator can view the feedbacks individually or in a group.
