From Form to Conversation: AI-Powered Event Creation

Long, multi-step event setup forms slowing down organizers, solved with a conversational AI event creation flow powered by a custom MCP server.

We built an AI-driven event creation flow using a custom MCP (Model Context Protocol) server connected directly to the platform's backend. Instead of navigating a multi-step form, the organizer simply answers a few natural-language questions, and the AI takes care of the rest.

The Challenge

Setting up a new event on a ticketing platform typically means working through a long form, event name, description, dates, ticket types, pricing, settings, field by field, screen by screen. For experienced organizers this is tedious. For new organizers, it's worse: they first have to understand the platform's structure before they can even fill it in correctly, which slows adoption and creates friction right at the point where a new user is forming their first impression of the product.

The underlying problem wasn't the data itself, it was the interface demanding it in a rigid, step-by-step sequence instead of the way an organizer actually thinks about their event.

AI Asks Event Questions

A short, conversational set of prompts covering what the platform needs to know.

Organizer Gives Answers

In plain language, without needing to know which field maps to which setting.

AI Processes via MCP

The custom MCP server translates the conversation into structured platform actions: field mapping, validation, and formatting.

Results

  • Event setup process: from a multi-step form, field by field, to a short conversational Q&A. Faster event setup, organizers create events through conversation instead of navigating multi-step forms.
  • Platform knowledge required: from the organizer needing to understand the full form structure to none, AI handles field mapping and submission. Lower learning curve, new organizers can create a complete event without first learning the platform's underlying structure.
  • Manual navigation: from step-by-step through multiple screens to a single guided conversation. Reduced manual steps, the AI handles field mapping, validation, and submission automatically.
  • New organizer onboarding: from a steeper learning curve to a lower barrier to first event creation. More time on event planning, less on data entry, the AI translates organizer intent directly into platform actions.
